Road Trip 2011 - Ten Thousand Waves

So a friend asked me this pretty expected but still kinda random question out of the blue...

"Did you all visit any hot springs in Taiwan?" she can't be more excited.

"Not really. That wasn't our plan."

"But why? You shouldn't have missed that," she inhaled deeply and looked at me in pity, like I've just went through some sort of epic disaster.

She's right, to some extent, I shouldn't have missed that. But hey, I was traveling with my sis & Chean; so tell me, should I do a private hot tub with Chean or my sis? Or three of us should all go for a communal bath together? Or maybe I could do it with my sis and let Chean spend his time with complete strangers, vice versa. Either way sounds inappropriate and outrageous, that's why I avoided that. See, problem solved.

Moreover, beauty spas are utterly accessible in Malaysia, and the rate is way affordable compared to U.S., why worry?

But most of all, it's because Chean & I just went to a luxury mountain spa recently. *grinned slyly*

#7 A cool poster indeed. I confidently guess that's a beef product packaging, based on the kanji written all over it.

#8 But hey, this just doesn't seem right to me :p

#13 The ladies behind me were enjoying the complimentary foot bath for too long! I kept waiting for about 20 mins but never get a chance to try that @.@

Why can't I keep waiting til my turn? Cause our hot tub's ready and we only have 90 minutes to enjoy, why bother the foc foot bath then?

TTW_9
#14 They offer all kinds of hot tubs to accommodate different individuals' wants & needs...

TTW_11
#15 We want to be alone; we need private tub. So we shot for Super Premium Private Baths - Ichiban!

We wanted to reserve Shoji but it was fully booked (they are equally awesome just that Ichiban has two private tubs yet we only needed one). Speaking from experience, I would suggest trying your luck at least 2 weeks in advance; don't ever expect you could get any private baths with last minute reservation, especially during weekend. Lesson learned.

#22 Two giant ceramic teacups--the way they described on the website.

TTW_18
#23 Giant? Not so much. But capacious? Yes.

#25 Hot tub was invented for me... I'm a big fan! Not just big, but G.I.A.N.T!

TTW_21
#26 Totally worth it! US$49 per person for a 90-minutes session.

TTW_26
#27 Enjoying the complimentary hot tea... The bath not only washed away our stress, but my curls too, lol.

#29 That's Chean! Looking fresher than ever!

Now you know why, so please ah, don't ask me the same question again if you see me on Facebook or MSN or in person. Much appreciated~~

Wishing you all a wonderful Friday & weekend ahead. See ya~~
