F.A.Q
Hi all~~
Decided to do a brief post to include most of the frequently asked questions I got from you all. Deeply apologize if I do not reply your message or email timely, really got my hands full taking care of Chloe, but today, I'm gonna response to each of them. So this is also where I'll point you to if the same questions being asked again, hehe. And I even categorize the questions for your convenience ;)
** Beauty & Skincare **
Q1. What skincare products are you using now?
La Mer basic skincare, with cleansing foam (forgot to take pic of this), tonic, cream and eye cream. Been using La Mer for about 2 years now and I really can't stop loving it, especially the eye cream. It's also the only skincare products I used during pregnancy. However, I find the moisturizing cream--Crème De La Mer--a little too rich for Malaysia's humid weather (even I was sitting in the air-conditioned office all day long), will recommend The Moisturizing Gel Cream for MY readers instead.
#1 The Tonic. Refreshing and soothing :D
#2 Crème De La Mer, 2oz. It's a little tricky to apply, you have to rub the cream against your fingers until it’s warm and almost translucent to activate its ingredients. A little hassle but great result.
#3 The Eye Concentrate. I think it does smooth out the teeny fine lines around my under eyes, especially when I laugh real hard ;)
Q2. What makeup foundation are you using now? What would you recommend?
I always have two or more foundations in my makeup case, liquid and powder, and I use them alternately based on different occasions and activities. As for liquid foundation, I'm using YSL Teint Resist Long Wear Foundation, Givenchy Fluid Foundation Airy-Light Mat Radiance (my current fave) and Photo'Perfexion Fluid Foundation. As for powder foundation, I'm using Maybelline Mineral Power. I've tried many drugstores and high-end brands, and I'd strongly recommend you to opt for/invest on the high-end one instead; a good quality foundation gonna make a huge difference, not only on your look but your skin too. Because the coverage of high quality foundation is so good thus all you need is just a pea-size of amount for each use. Speaking from experience, one bottle of liquid foundation could last me for more than 6 months even if I use it everyday. See, it's not very costly after all, so save up today.
** Hair Color **
Q3. Did you dye your hair when you're pregnant?
Yes, I did, once. Not that I recommend although my doc said it's completely fine. Anyway, this is a controversial topic, so talk to your doc and gather professional advice before you make decision.
Q4. I love your hair color, did you DIY? If so, what brand are you using?
Thanks! I have my recent hair color done at a local hair salon in Seremban town called Rico Hair Salon; it's located right next to the Seremban DIGI Center at Jalan Kong Sang. The lady boss is super nice and friendly, she customized the hair color for me by mixing 3 different shades in different ratio, so I really have no idea what exact color is on my hair now, but I super adore it!!! If you really like it, you can go look for her and request the same hair dye she did for me, yes, just mention Beverly from U.S., she has been doing my hair since I was 17 and on my wedding day too, hehe. When I'm in States, I usually DIY my hair color at home with LUCIDO-L Creamy Milk Hair Color (Hazelnut), used it sooooo many times even when I was preggie and the color never once disappoint me.
Q5. How often do you color your hair?
4-5 months, or 3 times a years.
** Personal Life **
Q6. Have you moved back to the U.S already?
Yes. Will stay here for good.
Q7. Are you working?
I was when I was in M'sia, a very unpleasant experience, so to speak... But I'm a proud full-time-stay-at-home mom at this moment. Nothing pays as great as my baby's smiles (^__^)V
** Shopping in the U.S. **
Q8. I'm planning to visit U.S. soon, mind to recommend some brands that are worth shopping for?
Oooohh... I got this one all the time!!! Ok, anything that's originally from U.S is basically cheaper here, make sense? So Tiffany & Co, Coach, La Mer, Juicy Couture, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Micheal Kors, Kate Spade, Stuart Weitzman, Nine West, Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Armani Exchange, DKNY, Timberland... Just to name a few...
Q9. All the baby items are so affordable in U.S, my friend gonna travel to U.S. and I'm thinking to ask her for a shopping favor. Where is the best place to purchase baby stuff?
Amazon.com, zero sales tax and shipping free when you order $25 or more (though it'd take about 2 weeks to reach your place). If you don't have the cushion for the 2 weeks shipping process and don't want to pay extra for express shipping, go visit Baby "R" Us or Toy "R" Us! We literally spend most of our retirement saving in these two baby stores :'(
** Diet & Slimming **
Q10. You once mentioned about the magic cream you're using to battle the baby weight, what is that?
Oh yes! Thanks for reminding, I actually drafted the post but haven't have time to take pictures of the products yet. It's Bliss FatGirlSlim skin-firming cream. Love it! Love it! Love it! Also tried some of the Bliss slimming products, will go make a full post on this particular topic later.
Q11. Are you still taking the Lipodrene Appetite Suppressant diet pill?
Nope, never after my wedding. Again, not that I recommend that.
Q12. Does hot bath make you lose weight? What products are you using?
Ermm... I don't think it takes off the extra pounds but it certainly helps reduce the water retention. As for now, I only add natural sea salt and a few of lemon slices in the hot water because I run out of the bath salts! Need to restock them from the Japanese Market.
Phewwww... I think that's all I could recall, please please please let me know if you think I have left your questions out. Oh, yes, the Vitamin C injection, no worries, I didn't forget that one, working on the pics and I'll fill you in with more info on the next post!
Lovessssss,
Bev
