Lucky Charms
There are many stupid tales and vapid acts that I still believe in and still carry them with me after high school. Out of so many stupidities of my vain beliefs, there's this one later given the most fabulous name by a high-end jewelry company and very shortly, the collection conquered every girls' dreams and created a multimillion-dollar business opportunity in the jewelry industry. The company named its collection as Tiffany Charms and I named mine as Lucky Charms.
I'm not sure about you, but for me, when someone presents you a piece of jewelry (either very expensive or plain thoughtful), the present giver has engraved his/her love in that tiny metal piece and you both are writing the history, together and forever. You can't object this I guess, metal last longer than us; thus, my story continues even after I left this world and rejoice in heaven.
So this is how I'd like to start telling my story about these charms (out of many)...
#1 Chean surprised me with a FedEx parcel filled with a blue box on our 5th anniversary.
I was still studying in University Putra Malaysia and yup, we were still having long distance relationship and we only met once in a year. The way this love pendant hanging on the super thin necklace represents our 3 years unbearable long distance relationship in that time, I think. Our love, a huge & heavy one, needs strength from both side to survive, and then secure with trust. It's my favorite out of so many favorites.
#2 Received this as the 6th anniversary gift.
Love Locket Pendant was something I wanted to own that time. Again, stupid thought hit me. I thought my daughter would love to wear this on her neck and proudly show her grandchildren that's her daddy & mummy and they were very very much in love.
#3 Present from my future mother-in-law.
The mosaiced area is engraved with my lucky numbers and those numbers are the result of Zhi3 Wei1 Dou3 Shu4 (紫微斗数) calculation, an ancient fortune reading based on Chinese astronomical observations. My future mother-in-law said it will bring us fortune, luck and prosperity. Well, you may say this is a complete superstitious crap but love is not superstitious and this pendant does bring my loads of luck, at least I have the best future mother-in-law.
Last but definitely not least, I would say the one last charm that's always promise me good fortune and make me a lucky person on earth is T.H.I.S...
#4 My positivity!!! Haha...
Never forget you are always your own lucky charm, too!
Cheers,
Bev
