The Summer Party Dress
Y.A.Y! Comcast has installed everything in my new house! Cable TV, phone and internet, now I don't have to travel back to hotel for internet then rush back to our new home to get some beauty sleep. Ohh.. and quick update about the progress of this new place. The unpacking is officially begun on last Friday, I've unpacked 25 boxes (yet there are 20 few more to go) and purchased tons of containers from Home Depot, this house is too small and lack of storage :'( I'm aiming to get this done o Sunday. I need to see things organized and wanted to settle down so bad. Anyway, the house is a chaotic mess right now with boxes piling up the wall and dust blowing around. * Sneezing *
Ohh... Remember the dress that I wore to CP+B summer party last week?
This one. (Click here to read the entire Under The Moonlight post)
I know you guys are eager to know where I got the dress from, and I'm truly sorry for not replying your email or comment promptly. I do read every single email/comment that you sent/post me. But this dress is a little complicated to explain over the email or the tiny comment box, instead of replying 10 emails separately, I rather dedicate a blog post for this.
So ya, if I choose the easiest path, I'll perfunctorily tell you I get this dress from F21 but guess what, you'll never find the exact same dress in F21 store, even if you travel across the globe. W.H.Y?
Because the original one looks like this.
And I altered it to look like this.
Now you ask, how to alter? And I can answer you straightaway, with needle and thread. My sewing skill is super lame, but I try and try and try.
Here's the core message of this post (well, it's not about bragging my creativity): A shirt that is manufactured (in China mostly) with stereotype cutting and design is not going to fit/compliment everyone in the world. Don't let the manufacturers, models, advertisements or those powerful and influential people in the fashion industry tell you what to wear all the time, you know you body better than anyone else (my mantra).
Never limit your fashion sense and your creativity. P.E.A.C.E.
Beautifully yours,
Bev
