Chanel Haute Couture Inspired Nail
I'm super upset every time when I think of how my future working life will be. I probably won't be able to blog so often, won't have time for myself and most importantly, I won't have the prestige to keep long nails or to do fancy nail arts with exaggerate accessories and eye-catching colors. T_______T
It's retty impossible for me to type with long nails and I don't want to showcase my vain lifestyle by having fruity tutti pinky ribbons nails at work. That also means my life is going to be over. T_______T
But I just can't live without mani, pedi and nail polish; I'll feel like naked seriously. Can I still do my nails under all these vapid restrictions? Can I have short pretty nails? The answer is a Y.E.S., absolutely.
Just like this.
Love the milky pink on my nails ❤❤
I want to do a Chanel-inspired nail color so bad after viewing the Chanel Haute Couture 2010 Spring-Summer fashion show.
Look at the array of soft colors! It's too elegant, too sweet yet with a touch vintage feel. Glamor in a humble way. Damn, I think I can be a real successful OL if I get to wear Chanel Haute Couture collection every single day.
Well, at least I got my Chanel-inspired nail and it's super easy to do.
Step 1: Remove the worn-out color.
I prefer to use the instant nail polish remover, easier and quicker without using a lot of cotton pads.
Step 2: Remove overgrown cuticle. I'm using Problem Cuticle Remover from Sally Hansen.
Before removing cuticle. Y.I.K.E.S. *__*lll
After. Clean and healthy nails! Y.A.Y. ❤❤
Step 3: File and shape it as you desire.
Step 4: Smooth the rough nail edges and surface. I'm using a different type of file, not a buffer.
These are all we need.
Step 5: Base coat.
If you prefer not wearing any color, you can just stop right here. Clean and healthy nails tell a lot about a girl's personality, I think.
Step 6: Nail color. Get SinfulColors (Easy Going 700) if you wish to have the same nail color like me; it's only US$ 1.99.
Step 7: Top coat. One or two layers are fine, and you are all set :)
Yeah~~ A happy me with new nail color!
I think I can still be a super awesome OL without any Chanel Haute Couture Collection :p
Will you hire me? Not with that hair bun of course.
